The D2XS and me

I've been working at university communitcations for about a month and a half now and so far I've gotten to do some pretty cool stuff. But today was wonderful! I was sent out to shoot a reception type deal and on my way back started shooting some fall stuff. It was the first time I'd gotten to use the D2Xs and it was pretty cool. I like new toys.

So, this isn't an awesome pick and I could have messed with my depth of field more, but I was going more for color. You don't get much of a fall in southern NM.



And this picture is just your typical b&w. Nothing spectacular but I enjoy it. The only thing is that it seems to be uploading a bit blurry...



It was a nice change from shooting sports and it was really nice to just shoot whatever. It got some ideas going for the Christmas presents I'm giving. And as for using the new camera, it was great! Bigger than my D70 (yeah, I'm still rocking the D70) and faster. Even though I'm tired of sports, I'd love to take this on the field with me.
